Overview:

The task involves carrying out assessments and evaluations on both finished and in-process items to make sure manufacturing standards and process controls are met. Generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports to maintain the quality of the product. Support quality, engineering, and manufacturing as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this job are:

  • Self-motivated and proactive in taking initiatives.
  • Committed to achieving departmental/company objectives.
  • Well-versed in geometric tolerance, dimensioning, and parts inspection.
  • Inspect and document all parts at specified frequencies, with calibrated gauges and measuring devices, in compliance with approved Quality Control procedures with specified lot size.
  • Conduct audits as necessary to determine the quality.
  • Ensure that all doubtful parts are properly tagged and sent to the designated holding area.
  • Ability to perform moderately heavy lifting.
  • Ability and willingness to work beyond regular hours.
  • Operate in a safe manner to avoid endangering oneself or coworkers. Report dangerous conditions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Take part in training programs that the company deems necessary.
  • Execute other associated duties, functions, or work as needed or assigned to maintain the productive operation of the company.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
  • Reports to supervision as dictated by organizational chart. Has the authority and responsibility for controlling quality as delegated by management.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

A high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate's Degree orVocational/Technical education would be a plus, and/or 3 years of equivalent workexperience. Individuals with the ability to interpret blueprint/drawings, with previousexperiences or background in CNC machining, or CMM Operations (PC-DMIS) or die-cast manufacturing can also apply. The ability to read and understand drawings, andproblem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to train and develop associates.

Forklift certification may be required. Able to lift 30lbs.

  • AS9100 Experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • ISO 14001 Certification Experience
  • Metal Casting Experience

  • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
