Summary of Job Duties:
The quality engineer will lead statistical studies, control plans, PFMEA's, PPAP's, corrective and preventative actions. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process, compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products and monitors the conformance of the production process to any documented process.

Commercial automotive experience or bus experience or related industry
Welding or assembly experience
Problem-solving skills
8D analysis
Data Driven
Root cause analysis (RCA)
Meeting with the customer
Good business acumen
Qualifications Required:
Qualification 1: Associates degree in related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Qualification 2: Three years related experience in quality systems, materials, and process (casting, forgings, stampings, welding) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualification 3: ASQ certification required.
Qualification 4: Ability to use a personal computer, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualification 5: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, suppliers, and employees of the organization.
Qualification 6: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as variance analysis, frequency distribution, sampling theory, and SPC to practical situations.
Qualification 7: Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time; ability to stoop, kneel, reach, bend; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirements: No travel is required.
