Ellsworth County Medical Center is looking for a full-time Quality/Risk Coordinator RN to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a patient-focused, team-based environment, and actively commits to our mission of Improving Lives.

Duties Responsibilities:
The role of the Quality Improvement Coordinator RN is responsible for managing the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement, analytics, patient safety and process improvement throughout ECMC. The Quality Improvement Coordinator RN will guide staff in implementing and monitoring evidence-based quality and process improvement practices and provide education and guidance in quality management measures. Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting organizations, implement and measure outcomes of process improvement projects, including those involving patient safety, and ECMC key benchmarking efforts. Performs quality improvement activities in accordance with regulatory requirements, and organizational quality improvement. Acts as a patient liaison, as well as a resource for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of quality data; Manages quality dashboards. Further, will manage, coordinate, implement and evaluate the Infection Prevention program across the medical center and all its locations.

Experience Skills Preferred:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care nursing required. 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare quality improvement preferred.

  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language.
  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Must have advanced computer and Microsoft program skills, electronic medical record experience, and the ability to operate necessary nursing equipment.
Certifications/Registrations: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas, BLS, CPR.

Salary: $54,000 - $85,000 annually
