Mission Systems is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring quality objectives for the business unit in accordance with Collins Aerospace quality policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides Quality Engineering support for Mission Systems IPTs

• Performs product audits (process walks / test station audits) in accordance with Collins Aerospace / customer / industry standards, reports results, assigns and monitors follow-up actions

• Provides quality support for factory transformation efforts and transition of knowledge

• Evaluates Collins Aerospace or supplier products and processes

• Participates in cross-functional efforts to ensure proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner

• Supports read-across activities, communicating lessons learned impacting Quality teams

• Interfaces with production personnel, support staff, and members of the leadership team during the resolution of quality issues and the implementation of corrective actions

• Performs duties required by the Quality Management System

• Participates in the development of new initiatives and solutions for continuous quality improvements

• Supports proactive quality efforts, utilizing quality tools and processes during the product design life cycle

• Supports training needs and training record integrity

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or exposure as an inspector for in-process or final acceptance

• Experience or exposure interpreting assembly drawings, workmanship standards

• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
