SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Quality Control Material Sampler will be primarily responsible for sampling incoming raw materials and components.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Be responsible for following all Standard Operating Procedures, good manufacturing practices, good documentation practices, and good laboratory practices.
• Accountable for the timely completion of all duties and document all work applicable to Quality Control procedures and projects as defined.
• Execution of complete, reliable, and prompt documentation and information to managers and other team members.
• Communicating and reporting any injuries, unsafe equipment or safety violations to the supervisor and management.
• Management and organization of the sampling area in warehouse in an organized, clean way.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned and cross train to be able to back up other Lab Technicians

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform and document:
  • Raw material sampling
  • Component sampling
• Organize, maintain, and document:
  • Raw material retains
  • QC standards
  • Label and component retains
• Utilize information in ERP system for day to day sampling needs
• Maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the sampling area and quality office working areas.
• Work with quality, production, and warehouse teams to prioritize sampling appropriately for production schedule.
• Adapt quickly to changes in priorities, production schedules, and material delivery timelines.
• Stock all sampling equipment and supplies and prepare orders when needed to ensure adequate supply
• Assist in co-worker, supervisor, and management projects as they arise.
• Overtime in evenings or weekends may occasionally be required.
• Any additional tasks as requested by the Quality Control Manager.

AUTHORITY

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

None.

CLASSIFICATION

This is a full-time non-exempt role.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a GMP environment preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong problem solving abilities
• 3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry preferred

• Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish beneficial.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, effectively under pressure, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Flexible availability; we work night and weekend shifts when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the production shift. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb, balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
