Brandt Information Services, the leading provider of SaaS technology and marketing services for state wildlife and parks agencies, is paving the way to better communicate and serve the public through their journey to go camping, fishing, boating, hunting, or hiking on public land. At Brandt, we build and improve upon the customer journey for public users buying campground reservations, fishing and hunting licenses, boat registrations, educational event tickets, and the list goes on. State funds generated go back into conservation and outdoor recreation improvements.
Brandt is seeking a QA Automation Lead with at least 3 years of QA testing experience , specifically in QA automation/automated testing. This candidate will lead the automation testing efforts for Brandt's Go Outdoors software platform.
Primary Responsibilities/Deliverables Include:
  • Utilizing Brandt’s QA automation platform, Tosca, and other automation tools to maintain a suite of automated test cases, covering 80% of software functionality.
  • Working with department / functional leads and project teams to gather and document test case scenarios for automation. Works with teams to verify accuracy of test case steps and correct documentation as needed.
  • Creating automated test case scenarios and monitors / maintain automated test cases. Updates test case scenarios as needed when changes to software are made. Works directly with teams to identify software changes that may impact test cases.
  • Maintaining test automation schedules and reporting, including monitoring test run schedules and report results for accuracy. Ensures that test automation report results are distributed to applicable stakeholders in a timely, actionable format.
  • Working with teams to maintain test case library in qTest, or other test case management tools.
  • Working with leadership to identify meaningful and actionable data sets; establishes approach to track and distribute data in real time through automated processes.
  • Working with internal teams to expand automated testing coverage, identifies opportunity for automation and streamlined testing.
  • Recommending and implementing integrations with Atlassian and other tools to support data, reporting, and tracking in real time and streamline testing activities where possible.
Position Requirements:
  • 3+ years of QA testing experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in QA automation / automated testing.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a software development environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline, including Automated builds
  • Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms and attributes.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum.
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and ability to multi-task in a results-oriented and customer focused business environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; adept at communicating to all levels of the organization.
  • Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully prioritize numerous responsibilities for multiple projects and provide effective and timely follow-up.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, deal with potential issues, delegate tasks, manage time sensitive issues, and facilitate meetings as needed.
  • Are extremely responsive, results oriented, enthusiastic, and an effective problem solver.
  • Ability to independently and prepare and create reports and dashboards based on leadership needs; provides recommendations on tools and techniques for efficient resource tracking.
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel to Brandt offices and/or client sites with advance notice.
  • Must reside and code within the continental United States
  • Must submit and pass Level II criminal background check pursuant to Brandt's contractional requirements with government agencies
Position Location:
This position may be full-time remote within the continental United States. Brandt has office locations in Tallahassee, Florida; Hunt Valley, Maryland and Denver, Colorado should the selected candidate live close to one of these locations and desire to work in an office-setting. The standard work hours for this position will follow Eastern Standard Time.

  • An annual base salary of $80,000 - $95,000 determined by factors including but not limited to geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience
