Mundet Inc. delfortgroup custom prints and provides technical service for decorative cigarette tipping paper as well as specialty packaging and promotional materials for food items, tobacco products, and other users of quality printed flexible substrates, worldwide since 1959. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Purchasing Agent is a professional who understands and can apply the principals of product and service quality evaluation and control while considering the need to optimize production efficiencies. Responsible for purchasing all raw materials and other plant related items needed to keep the plant operational. Acts as a liaison between the branch and the customer in order to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

· Process purchase orders with vendors and provide follow-up to ensure deliveries are met.

· Process credits for customer rejections/returns.

· Maintain complete and accurate purchasing records.

· Analyze repetitive purchases and negotiate volume discounts on production items and other supplies.

· Review and analyze current material requirements and also customer long-term forecast requirements to determine raw material orders.

· Negotiate contracts with vendors in order to take advantage of savings and/or services under most favorable conditions. Continually review existing pricing commitments with various vendors to maintain cost effectiveness on all purchases.

· Prepare vendor evaluations quarterly using information provided by other departments.

· Coordinate return authorizations and recycling of scrap production materials as needed.

· Assist with the production scheduling activities to enhance the manufacturing process through efficient/optimal machine scheduling.

· Proactive, continuous customer service between the mills and their customers.

· Stock follow-up along the supply chain

· Support the Manufacturing Service Manager, Sales Team, Paper Mills and our Customers.

Skills and Abilities Required:

· Knowledge of inventory control and purchasing procedures.

· Strong Customer Service background.

· Familiar with Federal and State Law Procurement Requirements.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

· Able to work in an international team (focus on US & Europe)

· High degree of accuracy, reliability and self-responsibility.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Preferred:

· Knowledge expert in SAP ERP systems, preferred
