Job Summary:
Provide PPS fieldwork supervision. Supervise one or more Pupil Personnel Services candidates in a fieldwork setting two or more times during a sixteen-week session, attend supervisor training meetings and introductory candidate seminar, and work with the program coordinator in resolving situations at the school site.

Salary:
PLNU pays adjuncts based on their experience and academic rank. Using a 3 unit full semester appointment as a payguide, the adjunct pay ranges would be between $3,225 and $4,805. The actual salary will be determined by the units, course length, experience, and rank of the candidate. Adjuncts are paid on an hourly basis which includes preparation and teaching time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise one or more Pupil Personnel Services candidates in a fieldwork setting two or more times during a sixteen-week session, attend supervisor training meetings and introductory candidate seminar, and work with the program coordinator in resolving situations at the school site. Assists fieldwork coordinator and candidate in finding appropriate placement.

QUALIFICATIONS
A valid Pupil Personnel Services credential, knowledge of the Pupil Personnel Services credential CTC standards, proven success as a PK-12 school counselor, and experience with best practice in counseling strategies. Successful applicants will need to provide a CTC Certificate of Clearance within one month of hire.
Physical Demands: A valid California driver’s license and the ability to drive to school sites during the school day and supervise candidates in classrooms or offices to which they are assigned.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Please realize that there may not presently be an adjunct position available.
When an opening becomes available for which the applicant may be a good match, the program director will be in contact with the applicant for further dialogue, interviews, etc. Approved applicants will remain in the adjunct pool for the upcoming school year only. To be reconsidered for the following school year, applicant will need to reapply. If hired, official transcripts will be required from all undergraduate and graduate universities attended before a contract is issued.
