Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Provider Scheduling Coordinator to join the Professional Recruitment team!
Description:
This is a full-time, exempt position. The selected candidate will work independently and collaboratively with medical staff and other personnel to coordinate monthly call and shift work schedules for the following areas: Emergency Department, Hospitalist Group, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, OB-GYN, Sampson Convenient Care, and other areas as assigned. The selected candidate will be required to develop and implement recruitment strategies for PRN and part-time providers for call and shift work. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to the following: sourcing, pre-screening, and presenting providers to fill assignment vacancies; ensure providers have complaint contracts, credentialing, malpractice coverage, DEA, enrollment with Medicare/Medicaid, and orientation before beginning assignment. This individual will also be responsible for managing relationships with independent contractors and agencies who provide work for locum assignments.
Requirements:
- Education: BS or BA in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or equivalent education / related field work
- Experience and Training: Prefer one (1) year of job related experience. On-the-job training necessary to become familiar with hospital services, departments, recruitment strategies, and scheduling processes, etc.
- Special Qualifications: Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to handle difficult situations; strong collaborative, planning, and team building skills; strong time and resource management skills; good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
