As our new Project Manager, you will manage individual translation and localization projects within the Translation & Localization Division. This position serves as project manager and has no responsibility for division budget, revenues, or expenditures. This is a permanently remote role.
As a Project Manager, T&L, you will:
  • Work closely with operational management to maintain an understanding of translation products and processes, including products under development.
  • Establish contact with key personnel and decision makers in current and potential client organizations where document translations are utilized.
  • Determine sales potential through inquiry, observation, or research.
  • Prepare timely and accurate cost quotations to clients.
  • Prepare and issue supplier work orders in accordance with established ISO processes.
  • Coordinate internal and external suppliers and resources for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate proofing and editing of projects for completeness, formatting accuracy, and linguistic quality on individual projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed and delivered to clients in a timely manner with utmost attention to quality, following all established department and company ISO-documented quality processes.
  • Ensure processes used meet all client and vendor contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic project records and project file archives.
  • Maintain effective vendor relationship to ensure quality product delivery.
  • Choose effective and low-risk workflows for each project to help ensure lowest cost while maintaining highest customer quality.
  • Create accurate project plans and risk assessments for internal and client use.
  • Help control departmental costs through effective rate negotiations with vendors.
  • Use project management software to maximize production and quality to manage costs.
  • Initiate client billing and vendor payments.
  • Monitor and maintain real-time project tracking records.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients and provide client education in localization best practices and use of tools and systems.
  • Recommend translation protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Use and continuously improve skills in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Translation and Localization software (such as Computer Aided Translation tools and Translation Management System software).
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.
  • Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional education and industry best practices.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

As a Project Manager, T&L, you must have:
  • Significant knowledge of best practices in localization industry including linguistic quality, document translation, desktop publishing, multimedia localization, and website localization.
  • Significant knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools including the effective use of project management software.
  • Significant knowledge of contract deliverables.
  • Competence and ability to manage projects in a variety of specializations, including healthcare, medical devices, and more.
  • Solid client service orientation.
  • Strong process troubleshooting ability, including ability to troubleshoot content display in all major language families and formatting of common computer file formats (MS Word, Excel, XML, HTML and InDesign).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional commitment to confidentiality in accordance with CyraCom policies.
  • Strong computer skills, including skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn new computer applications quickly and beyond basic functionality.
As a Project Manager, T&L, you must be:
  • Able to read and understand complex contracts and ensure accurate deliverables.
  • Able to complete work under time pressures and meet tight deadlines, obtaining results through others.
  • Able to work independently and skilled at exercising initiative within the parameter of company policies and procedures.
  • Able to operate common office equipment including but not limited to computer, fax, copier, and telephone systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of localization project management experience preferably in areas of web and xml content/multimedia translation, with experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of CAT tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a related field.
Ideally, you will also have:
  • Any equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.

Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties.
Occasional lifting and carrying of material weighing up to twenty pounds may be required

Where Would You Work?
This is a permanently remote role, and can be done from anywhere in the continental US.
