GW Hospital is a 385-bed tertiary care, academic medical center located in downtown Washington, DC. Featuring a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Level 3 NICU offers clinical expertise in a variety of areas including cardiac, cancer, neurosciences, women’s health, and advanced surgery including robotic and minimally invasive surgery. Primary care and specialty outpatient care are available through the Medical Faculty Associates, a multi-specialty physician practice group of more than 750 physicians covering 51 specialty and subspecialty areas. The Medical Faculty Associates' doctors have offices in the Ambulatory Care Center, an outpatient clinic building located one block from the hospital.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager, Patient Experience has responsibility for assisting the Director, Patient Experience with project development, program oversight, and primary responsibility for volunteer program management and data analytics and visualization to drive process improvement efforts of the Patient Experience & Strategic Marketing, Communications, and Business Development Departments. This also includes serving as project manager for numerous patient experience improvement programs, including support of patient safety programs and customer focus programs and services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Qualification
- Project Management Professional Certification, Certified Associate in Project Management, or like degree/certification
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable area of study or equivalent years of experience in healthcare setting
- 2-5 years of recent project or program management experience in a healthcare setting or relevant professional experience 2-5 years of data analysis & visualization experience with advanced knowledge preferred
- Volunteer Program development or leadership preferred
- Knowledge of process improvement & data visualization tools & techniques with 2-5 years previous experience in Tableau, Cerner, Press Ganey &/or HCAHPS preferred

- Demonstrated problem solving, resource allocation, data assembly and action planning ability leading to the development of actions plans that will prove helpful in achieving measurable objectives
- Ability to organize, formulate, educate, and facilitate problem-solving teams
- Demonstrative ability to work without supervision towards a desired outcome
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and Database management
