The Project Management Sr. Advisor, H2 plans and leads project work using a multi-discipline team to design, construct, and make operationally ready ENGIE’s large scale industrial projects to produce Green Hydrogen and e-Fuels. The individual will use their independent judgment and interpersonal skills to deliver projects that meet the project requirements and achieve the approved investment goals. The candidate will report on project delivery progress, forecast project outcomes, and control and solicit approval of changes to the project in regular meetings with, and written reports to, executive management


What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical and delivery planning input to Origination and Business Develop in pursuit of Flexible Generation & Retail Global Business Unit business opportunities
  • Prepare delivery plans for specific projects considering safety, health, environmental, permit, commercial, design, contracting and construction requirements
  • Prepare the project contracting strategy, structure and segmentation considering safety, compliance, and other project risks and mitigations in compliance with ENGIE policies and the support of the Contract Management staff
  • Create a project cost chart of accounts based on the approved project budget to enable accurate cost tracking and forecasting of project costs
  • Ensure that all ENGIE safety requirements are properly included in project documents, plans, and practices. Leads and exhibits a high level of safety awareness and concern
  • Manage all project stakeholder communications and requirements including periodic reporting and change management and communication
  • Review and approve all project invoices and expenses, complying with Company policy, to assure contract payments are processed for timely payment with proper cost account coding
  • Monitor project cash flow requirements to properly schedule project funding requirements for internal or third-party financial participation
  • Measure project performance against the baseline quality, cost, and schedule in order to forecast the final project result each month
  • Measure project performance relying on KPI’s for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and start-up to report monthly, identifying variances and taking corrective actions to achieve project objectives
  • Control the project scope and delivery plan developing appropriate change requests for approval by applicable stakeholders
  • Close all supplier contracts associated with the project delivery including settlement of claims with support from assigned Contract Management staff
  • Prepare a final Lessons Learned report as a reference document for future projects and carrying out other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or related technical discipline required, master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in physical/construction project management
  • Experience with hydrogen production by electrolysis, natural gas processing, and/or other chemical process related projects is desired
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage and direct multi-discipline teams
  • Able to be flexible and adjust to changing business and project conditions, develop and present alternative solutions to problems, and recommend a course of action to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Proven work experience in project risk assessment and mitigation planning
  • Able to accurately gather and use project performance data to forecast project results using the principles of earned value analysis
  • Able to travel for several days at a time and spend up to 50% of their time at project locations remote from the base work location
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Procore
  • Being flexible which may require late night and/or weekend attention and/or short notice travel to address project related issues
  • Experience with hydrogen production by electrolysis, natural gas processing, and/or other chemical process related projects is preferred

  • Salary Range: $79,305-$270,530 annually
  • Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
  • In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
