Job Description

Highly motivated, qualified and client service orientated Project Engineer specializing in utility coordination.

· Communicate and coordinate with utilities to track and complete the Trans 220 process.

· Communicate with WisDOT project managers and staff to set project timelines.

· Review project plans for utility conflicts.

· Review utility work plans for congruence with project plans

· Review right of way plats for compliance with utility standards

· Ensure quality control activities are performed for all assigned work and back check work of others

· Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

· WisDOT Construction Management design and/or utility coordination experience

· 5+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection and utility coordination.

· Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation standards

· Good decision making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point) CADD (MicroStation preferred)

Preferred Additional Experience (Not Required)

· Knowledge of topographic and construction surveying

· Have a solid understand of DOT’s consulting expectations and needs

· Experience in roadway design using Civil 3D

· Wisconsin PE license
