Project Accounting

Contract/Budget/Change Order Management in NetSuite

  • Support the Real Estate team with tasks associated with month end closing reconciliations including work in process (WIP) reconciliations
  • Prepare all monthly financial reports including but not limited to:

o Job Cost Budget vs Actuals

o Spent to date reports

  • Ensure budgets are kept up to date and reflective of current commitments
  • Update project budgets monthly in accordance with the Real Estate Development team
  • Ensure that Project contract values, change orders, and revised contract amounts are integrated in NetSuite on a regular basis

Insurance Risk Management

  • Prepare insurance applications and renewal market submission documentation for all lines of coverage, review policy terms & conditions and quotes
  • Manage and oversee all claim related activities
  • Process invoices and issue COI as requested

Property Accounting

  • Responsible for the month-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, AR/cash and AP transactions
  • Prepare and provide accurate and timely monthly financial statements
  • Prepare month-end accounting closing packet for assigned companies and owners
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with all internal and external customers
  • Identify and propose solutions for automation and process improvement while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred
