Our process begins with observations from which we design a comprehensive plan. It continues on as we teach our clients and their circle of support how to obtain positive, sustainable outcomes.


$3,000 sign-on bonus available. $1,000 after successfully completing 30 days, $1,000 after successful completion of 90 day introductory period, and $1,000 at 6 months or relocation package available.

We are looking for a Program Director who is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of CBEM's Critical Intervention Service for our Eureka office. The Program Director brings both supervisory and clinical skills supervising a Critical Intervention Team interfacing with Redwood Coast Regional Center, our clients and their circle of support, as well as our consultants and the community. The Program Director upholds CBEM's mission and values by infusing them into all aspects of their position and reports to the Regional Director.

Here's what success looks like:

You will be a Master's leveled professional with 3 years minimum of people management experience, as you will manage and developing a team of 5+ CIS staff members and an Assistant Director. You will be expected to provide clinical advice and assessments for the clients and to your team, so having a working knowledge of DSM V diagnoses and ABA is required. Previous work experience with our client population (Regional Center consumers - developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses) will be key to your success.We would love to have someone that is experienced with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) database, as we rely heavily on Welligent, our chosen system for client records and reporting. But do not worry if you do not have a working knowledge of an EHR, we can offer training for the system. We expect our Program Director to be able to have great tact when interacting with stakeholders and team members, as well as be able to effectively and professionally communicate over the phone, email, or text to get their point across. We are a Mac- and Google-based company, so proficiency in these operating systems will be ideal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

Team Management/Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and evaluate staff
  • Participate in the hiring process (interviewing, selection, onboarding and training)
  • Facilitate weekly Team Members
  • Participation in the Administrator On Call rotation for our hotline


Quality Assurance/Clinical Responsibilities

  • Documentation Review (Case notes, Stabilization Plans, Case reviews, database documentation)
  • Solicit and address Client and Regional Center feedback to ensure ongoing satisfaction of services
  • Oversee end of month billing and budget for office


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as primary liaison with the Regional Center
  • Attend Service Provider Advisory Committee Meetings at the Regional Center, mental health related meetings/committees, and forensic meetings
  • Facilitate external trainings with Critical Intervention Team as requested by CBEM's stakeholders


Outreach

  • Network with local professionals / organizations / Regional Center providers to educate them about CBEM's services, promote growth, and encourage collaboration


Organizational Growth and Development

  • Contribute to the organization's development and growth of internal policies, processes, procedures, and trainings.
  • Review, update and create training modules for CBEM Critical Intervention Team members.
  • Participate in the CBEM Management Team and meet periodically in person at the Lafayette Support Office in Northern California.
Requirements Documents
  • Current California driver's license and proof of sufficient car insurance minimums (must maintain during employment)
  • Clearance of DOJ/FBI records (complete before hire)
  • Proof of Negative Tuberculosis Screening (upon hire)
  • Master's Degree is required, preferably in Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, Social Work or a related field. Receipt of official copy of Master's Degree prior to first day of work or official transcripts that will required no later than 30 days from start of employment.
  • Must have your own reliable means of transportation and be willing to commute to various settings to meet with circle of support and the identified client (i.e., family homes, Adult Residential Facilities, day programs, schools, hospitals, etc.).
  • Proof of current and valid car insurance with minimum $300,000 bodily injury and property damage combined coverage, or $300,000 Bodily Injury and $100,000 property damage coverage.
  • Ability to work full-time, weekends and evenings as needed.
