NIGHT SHIFT - PAY DIFFERENTIAL
Area of Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of production departments in processing materials, manufacturing products, and distributing finished products. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating hourly employees in the performance of their assigned duties. Assist in hiring, training, and evaluate supporting staff as necessary. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with co-workers and supervisors. Ensure company goals of safety, quality and production are met while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of this job. Provide leadership to staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions with process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between work areas.
- Maintain quality service by keeping employees informed of policies, procedures and operational changes while enforcing organization policy and standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources while stressing good housekeeping; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures to improve safety and material flow.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and work extra hours if needed prior to or after their normal shift
- Actively involved in avoiding/minimizing, troubleshooting and resolving production problems by making sure resources, tools and equipment are available.
- Initiate continuous process improvements by observing and analyzing production performance records and data.
- Maintain all Batch Production Records from the beginning of the batch through the end of the manufacturing process.
- Maintain qualification for and is able to perform sterile gowning which is applicable for the manufacturing area of responsibility.
- Actively involved in avoiding/minimizing, troubleshooting and resolving production problems by making sure resources, tools and equipment are available.
- Strive for process improvement by observing and analyzing productions records and data
- Must be punctual, reliable, and work extra hours if needed prior to or after their normal shift.
Physical/Mental:
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to manufacturing functions
- Continuous standing throughout up to an 8 hour period
- Up to 90% of time spent on production floor
- Lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent pulling, pushing and bending
