Arcosa Traffic Structures is searching for a Production Scheduler for our Sumterville, FL. location. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities, you will work with all departments to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity.

What You'll Do:

• Manage daily activities of production schedule in a job shop manufacturing environment
• Work directly with department supervisors at the site to clearly define daily production expectations/quotas
• Prepares production schedules with attention to product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan operations
• Actively participate in the evaluation of sales forecasts to determine production requirements
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications
• Monitor the project plan related to the flow of materials, inventory, and timing of manufacturing operations
• Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process, analyze root cause, and provide/implement solutions
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• 3+ yrs. in a scheduling/planning role in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Demonstrated success with planning, capacity, and material requirements for multiple product lines at different product life stages
• Analytical skill abilities; Organized & Detail-oriented
• Confidence and capability to multi-task complicated issues at one time
• Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills
• Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to influence teams regarding planning, capacity, and material availability
• Flexibility to be available after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to support operations
• Considerable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and
• APICS, CPIM, PMP, or CSCP Certified a plus

Working Conditions:

• Full- time position
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
