SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Production Scheduler for a client in Northern Chicago (Mundelein)

Direct Hire position!




Position summary: Responsible for overseeing all scheduling activities for the Stamping Production Department for a World Class Metal Fabrication Manufacturer. This position will be the subject matter expert and production planner and key contributor to the resource allocation and profitability for the MUN Fabrication and Specialty Business Unit Teams




Duties Include but are not limited to Significant achievements and working experience in:




Production Planning, Scheduling: (Stamping/Metal Fabrication Environment)




A. Maintain Production Schedule in Job Boss

B. Report Daily Progress to Stamping and Specialty Business Units

C. Notify BU Director if labor is a constraint in any work center focusing on additional hours or OTD that may be required to meet the schedule for OTD

D. Develop and maintain production schedule to support 95% or greater OTD and alert managers




Inventory Control

A. Review monthly inventories of raw materials, WIP and finished goods

B. Notify key people to Reconcile Inventory discrepancies effectively




Production Job Maintenance

A. Create production jobs by stock, repeat orders, forecasts, material utilization, and costing

B. Print Travelers, Set-up sheets, and prints required for production floor

C. Review order audits and advise Customer Service of Shipping Dates

D. Responsible of closeouts and review of poor performers with production personnel




Job Costing

A. Monitor cost overruns and keep BU Director updated on additional costs

B. Review jobs for efficiency improvements and notify BU Director on inefficiencies




In Charge for Support of QMS thru Review and Implementation of Procedures, WI' s and Forms

A. Member of the Material Review Board for review and disposition of discrepant materials

B. Assists in the 8D CA Responses as needed







Qualifications/Supervisory Characteristics/ Required Knowledge




Must have knowledge of Stamping, Fabrication and Specialty Business Unit offering and operational processes

Must be able to effectively communicate work effectively with supply chain, logistic teams, other Business Unit teams and outside services and customers (Bilingual skills and experience preferred)

Required knowledge includes minimum of bachelor' s degree in Business Administration

Must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Must be trained in the latest versions of MRP software in related to work experience
