SUMMARY

Our Production Manager and Green Buyer will manage the day to day of our roasting operations as well as our green coffee program. The best part is you will never have to worry about doing the same thing every day. Being the Production Manager and Green Buyer will include working closely with the roastery and cold brew teams, creating roast profiles in Cropster, continued education of your team, as well as managing inventory of the production space. Not only would you be managing a rockstar team, but you will also be working with our amazing importers to help find the best specialty coffee out there. As the Production Manager and Green Buyer, you will need to know the ins and outs of the coffee industry. You will manage cuppings, quality control, green coffee logistics, and support the brand through green coffee purchasing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages green and roasted coffee buying, quality control and inventory
• Work in a team environment to build and implement new product offerings and coffee roll-outs
• Responsible for scheduling, payroll and clear communication to the Roastery Team
• Works with direct manager to support green coffee budget
• Handles preventative maintenance, regular maintenance and cleanliness of both equipment and facility
• Responsible for team morale, training and development
• Conducts and attends weekly team, supervisor and tactical meetings
• Ensures health code and safety requirements are followed
• Conducts and attends quarterly and annual employee reviews

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• 3 years green coffee buying and Q-Grading experience preferred
• 3 years roasting experience preferably on San Franciscan and Loring
• 3 years of demonstrated, effective leadership experience
• High level of equipment problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, ShipStation, Cropster a plus
• Forklift operating experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds overhead and 200 pounds sliding along the floor

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
