The Production Manager is a dynamic role which will challenge you to improve every day, and to guide and develop a production team through Lean initiatives and continuous improvement. Operationally responsible for overseeing production processes and ensuring the health and safety of the associates. This role will be expected to manage and analyze output to meet daily requirements, through planning and forecasting to motivate the team to meet the daily Key Performance Indicators. Responsible to build and sustain the Continuous Improvement culture through coaching, mentoring and one to one interaction.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and direction to 15-20 Production Associates to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
  • Ensure that all assigned processes are completed on time & according to Company standards.
  • Forecast, Manage, and approve weekly shift payroll.
  • Conduct coaching and counseling sessions for Associates daily.
  • Proactively engage with the maintenance team to achieve equipment reliability excellence.
  • Lead interactive problem identification and problem-solving daily huddles with your team to encourage improvements every day.
  • Meet or exceed personal and team assigned performance metrics.
  • Perform in a high-performance culture where a continuous improvement mindset expected to maintain discipline and focus; e.g. 5S, Standard Work, Hour by Hour and SQDC Boards.
  • Manage a clean and organized plant to maintain OSHA, HLAC and company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of assigned shift production associates and production leads.
  • Monitor work performance for compliance with company and department policies, including but not limited to attendance/punctuality, poor work performance, safety, production, etc.
  • Ensure associates adhere to all department procedures while performing assigned duties.
  • Ensure performance evaluations (yearly or probationary) for assigned associates are completed and shared in a timely manner.
  • Issue and discuss disciplinary action plans, as necessary.
  • Forecast and Manage line-item accountability for assigned monthly budgetary GL codes.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and skill in plant protocols and procedures.
  • Must have well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for problem identification and problem solving, and an affinity for a fluid environment where change and transformation are the expectation.
  • Foster a positive team working environment through organization and facilitation skills and have the ability to supervise multiple workers in an often fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge and skill in operating computers and of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
