Job Title: Production Engineering Technician
Department: Operations
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Position Overview
Franklin Mountain Energy is looking for a Production Analyst to increase value through active management, maintenance, organization, and analyses of production data that enables and accelerates decision making across a multidisciplinary team. The candidate should be a team- oriented individual that can leverage their experiences and skills to develop solutions that elevate our team to be more effective and efficient. Key functions to be supported include facilities and production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct daily surveillance review of production and distribute daily variance reports
- Support operations team with daily production monitoring data in Scout and SCADA to ensure consistency and accurate reporting
- Provide “clean” data for analytics of well performance including cost, cycle-time, production, and other key metrics
- Manage production database including reconciliation of monthly purchaser statements
- Provide weekly analyses on production and monthly lease operating costs, reconciling field estimates with accounting actuals
- Review Vapor Recovery Unit operations and generate weekly reports on key performance metrics
- Monitor field chemical usage and provide monthly spend analytics
- Develop tools and processes to assimilate data for analysis by self and other team members
- File monthly production reports with federal, state, and other applicable regulatory agencies
- Provide inputs, updates, and maintenance of the well information database
- Work closely with other team members to identify opportunities to improve production data capture and reporting processes
- Assist with required production regulatory filings
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable Federal and State production reporting requirements and regulations
- Monitor changes in Federal and State production reporting requirements and regulations and implement changes in established processes as applicable
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to prepare variance reports by 645am MST from data available at 5am MST
- Ability to work from home
- Ability to travel 10% of time
- Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic, positive attitude and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point,
Teams, PowerBI), Spotfire
Preferred Candidate Experiences
- 3+ years relevant industry experience
- Experience with activity reporting software: PetroSight, WellView, OpenWells
- Experience with production reporting and SCADA software: Scout, P2 Merrick
- Solid understanding of production accounting including complex allocation methods and reconciliations
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $112,000 - $137,000
