Job Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the product introduction and product lifecycle for new PAX Electronic Payment and Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware lines in the United States. In this role you will act as a liaison between our Field Sales organization representing end-users (merchants) and our corporate Product Management & R&D staffs in China. You will be responsible for translating end-user needs into actionable product requirements, and then for driving the implementation of these requirements into our products. Launching new products into the US market, supporting selling efforts, competitive product analysis, and building and refining our hardware solutions to ensure they meet our customers’ needs and expectations, are among the other responsibilities you will have. You will be expected to wear “many hats” including the ability to positively impact the product strategy and direction from a supportability and functionality perspective.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer needs and opportunities.
  • Define the hardware product vision and strategy.
  • Ensure the successful launch of hardware products.
  • Be accountable for the growth and adoption of products.
  • Own the complete US product lifecycle from inception through product discontinuance.
  • Act as a sales support resource and evangelist for assigned products.
  • Identify sales opportunities and provide feedback to Sales team.
  • Be a leader and major contributor in the growth and profitability of PAX.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates efficiency and strong attention to detail.
  • Good project coordination and management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows based computer skills.
  • Travel required between locations on a varying schedule.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM Program
  • 3-5 years of Product Management or Product Marketing experience in Retail technologies – focusing on Electronic Payment, Point-of-Sale, or related fields. (Candidates with less experience may be considered for Associate level)
