Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Product Manager, Metal Framing, for our location in Rochelle, IL.

Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Product Manager, Metal Framing, for our location in Rochelle, IL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage product development and direct marketing activities for Metal Framing (Channel and Accessories) family of products
- Work directly with the sales and operations team to ensure all resources are in place to execute growth plans
- Develop a short and long-term roadmap to quickly expand our offering of items
- Create a solid marketing plan to assist the commercial team in creating demand
- Work closely with the engineering, operations and purchasing teams to develop both in-house and strategic private label partnerships
- Ensure reasonable payback for associated capital projects
- Align with inventory management team to set proper item mix/offering in appropriate field warehouses
- Work with marketing to develop support material (catalogs, spec sheets, price sheets etc.)
- Monitor all competitive activities (domestic and foreign)
- Update business plans (Quarterly and Annual) and monthly rolling forecast
- Set price guidelines for commercial team to assure top line growth and bottom-line profitability
- Understand and react to related market trends that influence the demand for this product line
- Collaborate with Western and Wheatland commercial team to set annual sales goals for sales reps
- Position brand to be the best-in-class.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree’s (Business related)
- 5 years of product line management experience preferred
- Previous demonstrated experience developing a product line
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Articulate, energetic, personable and a team Player
- Must have excellent sales and communication skills – both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical skills
- Travel required – approximately 25%, including overnight – or as required.
- High energy, self-motivated personality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- SAP experience a plus.
