Job description
Position Summary
The Product Manager leads critical projects to identify new business opportunities, new product development opportunities, product launches, and product lifecycle management. They coordinate with several internal business units as well as the global Sales team to ensure product development projects are achieved on time and results are strong. The Product Manager is responsible for defining the project goals and success criteria, and determining how success will be measured and tracked. The Product Manager will understand how to align customer expectations with the development of new products, and drives the success of the products.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute strategies for the Tronair product lines to bring new products to market
- Develop plans that drive the growth of existing product lines through continuous improvement and product enhancement
- Perform market research and leverage knowledge to drive success of product lines including but not limited to features, options, pricing, etc.
- Deep understanding of competitive landscape and ability to leverage knowledge to create competitive advantages for Tronair products
- Align customer expectations and project team by leveraging market research and product knowledge and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Leverage product expertise by providing support to the international sales team and developing marketing materials for new and existing products
- Prepare and present strategic planning presentations to senior leadership
- Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
- Evaluate, assess, and communicate result of product launches including lessons learned
- Use and continually develop leadership skills
- Travel up to 25-40% of the time to customer locations to understand application of equipment and customer needs
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- 3-5 years in product management or equivalent role
- MBA a plus but not required
- Experience working on and managing product development projects
- An equivalent amount of education, training and experience may be substituted for these requirements at the discretion of the company
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Skills and Proficiencies
- Advanced time management, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative and financial skill base
- Ability to quickly learn how to operate aviation ground support equipment across multiple product lines
- Ability to think innovatively and understand customer needs to develop compelling business case proposals
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
- Self-starter able to work independently as well as with groups
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, using a computer.
- Communicate effectively and timely by telephone and email; use fingers, hands and arms to reach.
- Able to drive, fly and use other modes of travel as required.
