Description

Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineering Technician to join our team at our Costa Mesa, California Facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of molding processes and techniques.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Collaborate with Process Engineers and other members of the engineering and operations team to design and develop new molding processes and improve existing ones
• Provide technical support to production staff and troubleshoot molding issues as they arise.
• Set up and run molding trials to optimize process parameters and evaluate the performance of new and existing molds.
• Conduct process capability studies and create detailed process documentation.
• Monitor process performance and adjust as needed to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of molding processes, including process parameters and any adjustments made.
• Setting up, installing, and maintaining molds and associated equipment according to production requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on molds and molding equipment as needed.
• Work closely with production personnel to ensure that molds are set up and running efficiently, minimizing down time and maximizing quality.
• Prepare detailed setup instructions for molds and provide training to production personnel.
• Maintaining inventory and ordering necessary replacement parts.
• Setup and maintenance of of hydraulics, pneumatics, eDart systems
• Experience with sprue pick and place robots

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair & troubleshooting mechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with process optimization and statistical process control

What Will Put You Ahead

• Technical school or college degree in a related field
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and experience in plastic injection molding
• Basic understanding of molding processes and techniques
• Experience with mold setup and maintenance
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software

For this role, we anticipate paying $22 - $32 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
