Summary: Dime Community Bank is looking for Private Bankers specializing in and able to set up the following verticals at the company: Cannabis, 1031 Business, EB5 Business, Real Estate Management Companies, Attorney Escrow Business. Besides having a portable book of business, the Private Banker will be responsible for new business development which includes sourcing of operating demand deposits.

Work location will be determined based on the location of the candidate's book of business. It will be in one of Dime's corporate offices (Hauppauge, Melville), Brooklyn, or Queens.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $130,000 to $155,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Manager of Private Banking to meet sales goals and maintains a pro-active business development attitude toward both customers and prospects with the goal of expanding Participates as fully as possible in community activities and community service organizations with the intent of projecting Dime’s interests and involvement in the community.
  • Ensure efficient, prompt and professional servicing of all customers’ needs.
  • Build relationships with Centers of Influences.
  • Monitor goal and profitability reports to measure work toward the goal of maximizing income in all areas related to the Bank and controlling Bank expenses to ensure that the Bank maintains profitability.
  • Ensure compliance for all regulatory requirements and Bank Secrecy Act reporting. Possess current knowledge of regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, BSA, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E. C.
  • Adhere to all Dime policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a liberal arts degree with business administration courses or minimum ten years’ work-related experience.
  • Minimum five years of business/commercial banking business development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of credit and treasury solutions.
  • Having an existing, portable book of deposit business is key.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel).
