Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The President – Marshfield Medical Center – Eau Claire/Rice Lake/Ladysmith has responsibility to direct and administer the internal operational activities in accordance with Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) policies, goals, and objectives established by the Board of Directors. This individual is responsible for articulating and promoting MCHS’s vision and strategic direction. The President – Marshfield Medical Center – Eau Claire/Rice Lake/Ladysmith will lead efforts to achieve compassionate, high quality, cost effective integrated health care delivery by upholding MCHS’s mission and core values. This individual is expected to work closely with the MCHS Chief Operating and Financial Officers on all key operational components of the business and other entities where cultivation and maintenance of positive relationships are critical to the success of the hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business,
management or a related subject field.
Preferred/Optional: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business,
management or a related subject field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Seven years of experience within a complex health care organization including acute-care hospital operations, physician engagement and effective physician relationships, and outpatient service delivery systems. Seven years of experience in a senior leadership role with financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization. Experience with for profit and with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations. Knowledge of medical group practice, hospital management and healthcare industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills, formal presentation skills; strong financial acumen, ability to think both strategically and tactically. Excellent leadership skills; exemplary communicator; analytical & critical thinking skills; strategic & visionary skills; champions change; accountable, collaborative and results oriented.
