Seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Finksburg, MD.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Salary is $105,000 per year
This position will lead, motivate, and develop maintenance employees to perform equipment repair and preventative maintenance procedures. This position will work to drive losses out of our systems, create consistent standard approaches and achieve production results while improving individual skills and enhancing teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and overseeing all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance employees.
- Ensuring that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines
- Ensuring the facility satisfies all industry regulations
- Managing budgets
- Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for spare parts inventory
- Developing and implementing a (proactive) maintenance program
- Coordinating the completion of complex repairs
- Hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work
- Looking for new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and cut costs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years on industrial manufacturing experience; experience within a unionized manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of Continuous Mixers a plus
- Knowledge of Die Presses a plus
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity and understanding of blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
