Job Description:
The pipeline engineer is responsible for supporting projects where there is a lack of records to support current maximum allowable operating pressure. Project examples include pipeline and facility pressure tests, derates, pipeline and regulator station replacements, and new valve set installations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings to ensure constructability and adherence to standards and Operations preferences.
- Gather input from stakeholders (Operations, Operations Engineering, other Engineering groups, etc.) and implement into design and procedures.
- Write operational procedures
- Serve as person-in-charge for tie-in and other critical procedure steps.
- Coordinate on-site meetings to define scope, plan for land use, and identify constructability issues.
- Provide input to construction schedule and verify alignment from key stakeholders (HP Ops, Gas Operations Engineering, Construction Contractor, Inspection).
- Coordinate construction services among various internal and external parties
- Provide "on-call" engineering support during construction. (Includes some occasional night and weekend work.)
- Travel to work sites within the state of Colorado to support design and construction. (Up to approximately 25% travel)
- Create and maintain SAP WOs following a poorly documented and constantly changing process.
- Request POs be issued to various external contractors for materials and services.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline from an ABET accredited college or university.
- 4+ years of experience in gas pipeline /oil/gas industry.
- SAP Software a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
