Summary
Metro Cruise Services is a nationwide, all-inclusive service provider in the Cruise Industry. In Seattle, our teams deliver excellence in Ground Guest Services through our industry knowledge, training, and expertise. Terminal set up staff play a critical role in ensuring the correct and efficient Brand set up for embarkation day. The set-up may vary, as not all brands require the same layout. The set-up team is also required to break down and store all materials and signage from previous Brand layout. Our teams strive to exceed expectations in setting up the terminal for a successful operation day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for physical manual work that may require light to moderate lifting and working within the environmental elements of the worksite (Pier 91).
  • Load and unload equipment from delivery source while ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Responsible for assembling, setting up, and breakdown of necessary equipment for turnaround day (i.e., signage, stanchions, speaker and microphone, tables, chairs, podiums and rolling counters, etc.).
  • Ensure specific equipment is functioning properly prior to completion of set-up.
  • Responsible for safe storage of equipment at the end of the day and either cleaning up the space or advising port personnel of required cleaning.
  • Responsible for additional set up for special sailing events as necessary.
  • Work closely with Lead to ensure proper maintenance of equipment and to report damage or missing items immediately.
  • Ability to be on their feet for up to 4 hours.
  • Adhere to terminal set up layout provided by Operations Manager/Assist. Ops Manager and/or Lead.

  • Schedule will vary throughout the season based on operational need and timelines
  • Must be flexible to work early mornings and/or evenings
Minimum Qualifications:
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Will also accept evidence of current enrollment for students age 16 or 17 with confirmed parental consent.
  • Reliable and consistent with attendance
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team

Manual dexterity required for moving/lifting/pulling/pushing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, and stretch for the duration of the shift (up to 4 hours)
Work environment may be indoor/outdoor throughout the pier terminal, involving varying weather conditions.
