SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the Swatch Coordinator and Sample Coordinator is to efficiently process merchandising and swatch/samples orders on a daily basis. Will maintain a perpetual inventory of material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items. Coordinates with the internal and in some cases external supply chain and oversees logistics in support of merchandising order fulfillment functions. The role will be crossed trained to support both swatchs and samples but will be responsible for one of the two categories, swatch or samples.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years order fulfillment processing/light shipping duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Batch customer orders twice daily which involves printing, pulling inventory, and packaging.
  • Pull goods and label accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Receives, unpacks, and re-stocks items as necessary.
  • Set up and organize the storage and fulfillment area, create and maintain bin labeling.
  • Take completed packages to the shipping department by daily cut off time.
  • Generate packing slips and shipping labels to process orders through the shipping process daily.
  • Ensures that customer orders are appropriately entered into the order management system.
  • Maintain swatch labeling for plant and department brand labeling.
  • Liaises with plant facilities on stock transfers.
  • Analyze sample and swatch orders, identify and report potential issues and excessive customer orders.
  • Record purchases, perform physical count of inventory, and compute figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels in the SAP system.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of samples and swatch stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies. Prepare reports, such as inventory balance and shortages.
  • Seeks to maximize sales/revenue while minimizing cost/waste. May confirm details and availability of large, complex, or custom orders. May contact customer service regarding backordered orders or orders that cannot be fulfilled.
  • Provide Intercompany program support as necessary.
  • Provide support to the Marketing and Sales team on special requests. Undertake special projects and other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous picker/packer experience
  • Proficient in Windows-based software packages – Excel, Word
  • Google Drive experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized, thorough review and proofreading capabilities. Counting accuracy is critical.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work in an environment with limited supervision
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
