Description:
Proficient at performing the day-to-day functions of the PPR in the practice/medical office which includes answering the phones, check in, check out, charge entry, insurance verification and scheduling complex patient appointments, diagnostic treatments or surgery. Ensures patient medical records are ready for clinic and that all pertinent billing information has been captured and accurately entered into the appropriate computer program for processing. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and practice manager. Practices the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to our patients, physicians, and each other.
Estimated pay range for this position is $15.12 - $19.66 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Additional Qualifications: Must have extensive experience with computer applications, accurate typing skills and experience in Electronic Medical Record systems. Excellent customer service skills required. Must be a professional, detail-oriented, organized team player with effective interpersonal communication skills. HIPAA Privacy and Security knowledge and compliance required. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines and medical terminology. Commits to quality, delivers quality services as per the Baptist Health standards of excellence. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Minimum Required Experience:
