Physical Therapist
Department: Physical Therapy Position: Full Time, Exempt
Brief Description of Job:
Provide direct patient care through evaluation and treatment of patients referred to Ringgold County
Hospital.
Essential Functions:
Evaluation of patients/clients referred to Physical Therapy.
Establish appropriate treatment plan based upon the physical therapy evaluation.
Treatment procedures given to patients.
Completion and submitting of reports.
Serves on various committees and provides education to others as indicated, i.e., in services,
Day of Education, community education.
Oversees PTA that is assigned to therapist’s patient.
Performs departmental educational inservices for Rehab staff.
Works assigned shift/shifts, weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
Marginal Functions:
Assists with Hospital-wide ergonomics of other staff employees.
Communicates and assists Rehab Manager on implementing/developing new services for Rehab
Services.
Assists Rehab Manager with marketing Rehab Services.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy with a Master’s or Doctorate of
Physical Therapy or equivalent.
Hold a current license in the State of Iowa.
Understands HIPAA regulations and privacy of patient and employee information.
