The Pharmacy Customer Service Representative will provide clerical services and support to the pharmacy staff. This position is responsible for the customer service of the pharmacy, which includes receiving customer requests and resolving any customer problems and concerns, referring to supervisory staff when necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Acts as the cashier, processing sales and operating the Pharmacy’s POS system. 2. Work directly with customers in person and on the phone. 3. Assist with organization of the Pharmacy. 4. Manage will-call area. 5. Receive customer requests, resolve customer concerns, and refer customers to appropriate. Pharmacy staff when necessary. 6. Present in neat/clean appropriate clothing and professional demeanor at all times. 7. Other duties/special projects as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE 1. High School or equivalent diploma or a combination of education and experience. 2. Possess strong mathematical skills. 3. Working knowledge of computer systems and business office machines. 4. Excellent communication skills. 5. Six months to one year working experience in a service oriented business office setting. 6. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving skills. 7. Must be able to work under pressure in a busy medical/dental office setting. 8. Must learn and abide by all policies and protocols. 9. Valid State of Maine Driver’s license and ability to be insured by KVHC’s vehicle insurance carrier. FUNCTION, DEMANDS AND PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE Requires full range of body motion with the ability to bend, kneel and stoop. Must possess: , the ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time, the ability to lift approximately 30 lbs., visual acuity with color vision, the ability to communicate effectively and calmly in a professional manner, the ability to follow all workplace policies including safety and confidentiality, the ability to perform repetitive motion keyboarding functions, knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to May 25, 2018 establish a safe work environment. Skill and or ability in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly.
