Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

ABOUT THE ROLE
The People Relations Consultant position is responsible for providing hands-on consulting and support to the business in the areas of Employee Relations (ER), Investigations, Policy and Legal Compliance interpretation. This hands-on role reports directly to the Sr. HR Business Partner and will work closely with the appropriate internal stakeholders and partners on compliance and new law interpretation. With knowledge and understanding of employment law implications on ER issues, you will regularly partner across various teams to develop policies/processes that address employee concerns, evaluate employee relations issues and investigations with escalation as needed, and will serve as a trusted advisor to the business.

ABOUT YOU
You have experience conducting all types of employment investigations, specifically with union and non-union workforces, including but not limited to: conducting interviews, collecting/analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, and providing recommendations based on investigation findings. You are adept in understanding trends, researching and identifying concerns, and coordinating problem resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Juris Doctor and/or HR training/certification in Investigations or equivalent experience preferred
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Employee Relations in an HR function
  • Basic working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including FLSA, EEO/AA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation regulations, DFEH, EEOC, FMLA and CFRA

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The position will be based in the West Coast and could be done from a remote (home) location. There is regular and required monthly travel to our project jobsites/locations (up to 50% of travel per month). The expected cadence for physical presence at the project jobsites/locations will be one to two weeks rotational each month.
