As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapy services to children and young adults with developmental, sensory, motor, and behavioral challenges. You will work in a team with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans to improve the child's ability to participate in daily activities and achieve their goals. You will also provide education to parents, caregivers, and other professionals on strategies to promote optimal development and functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of the child's developmental, sensory, motor, and behavioral abilities to determine treatment goals and intervention strategies
• Develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques to improve the child's functional abilities
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure coordinated care
• Educate parents, caregivers, and other professionals on strategies to promote optimal development and functional abilities
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with regulatory and professional standards
• Stay current with advances in pediatric occupational therapy practice through continuing education and professional development activities
• Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement activities to enhance the quality of care provided

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as an occupational therapist
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Experience working with children and young adults with developmental, sensory, motor, and behavioral challenges preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques used in pediatric occupational therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and professional standards
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards

Physical Demands:

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist may be required to lift and move equipment and assist with patient transfers. They may also be required to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time while providing therapy services. Working Conditions:

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist may work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and homes.
