About the Role:

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for executing routine payroll processing for employees’ payroll, payroll taxes and benefit deductions, for the US and Canada. This role is expected to possess solid communication skills, as the Payroll Specialist will regularly communicate with employees to address questions and work collaboratively with HR to ensure payroll is processed accurately.

How you will make an impact:

• Update employee data from the Workday HR management system and Wiley's payroll platform and timekeeping system

• Ensuring changes are processed accurately and timely for the processing of payroll for approximately 3500+ employees.

• Assist with financial payroll reporting.

• Review and reconciliation of tax reporting for withholding, unemployment, and local taxes

• Preparation of various funding for payroll (401k, HSA, etc.)

• Complete year-end reconciliations

• Identify areas of improvement and automation of the end-to-end process.

• Work with multiple departments, employees, and third-party vendors for specific requests.

What we look for:

• Two to five years of payroll experience

• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly desired

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge

• Solid communication skills

• Workday experience is a plus.
