Newton County is looking for a Payroll Clerk. Duties are processing new employees including benefit paperwork, new hire orientation and input into the payroll system; review and audit timekeeping records for compliance with policies; respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals. Support and be able to perform all activities necessary to process payroll. Assist with special projects such as software upgrades and implementation of new functions as well as creating training documents for software. Assist with employee benefit programs and provide benefits assistance to all employees as well as employee events, open enrollment, drug testing, and employee communication through various methods. 2 years experience in Human Resources as well as a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
