Responsibilities
The Merchant Card Analyst will facilitate the setup and maintenance of merchant accounts, the
ordering of new and replacement POS devices, provisioning and related audits, and support
other team members. This position will facilitate POS collection capabilities while maintaining
appropriate internal controls, and card brand and PCI compliance. The Merchant Card Analyst,
interacts on a regular basis with a broad range of internal and external constituents, and must
exhibit clarity, professionalism and kindness, consistent with the mission and values of
CommonSpirit Health.
This position will be located in the San Francisco office and likely include a combination of
Working closely with the System Director, Merchant Card Operations, the Manager, Merchant
Card Operations, and the Senior Merchant Card Analyst(s), the Merchant Card Analyst provides
support for all aspects of CommonSpirit Health Merchant Card Operations, and serves as a
Treasury contact for the following:
- Work with information provided by the Treasury Operations Team with merchant card
processors on requests for new merchant accounts, and new and replacement POS devices - Provision web-based merchant card processing and reporting applications, and perform
quarterly audits of authorized users and access - Work with End-User Services (EUS) and PCI Liaisons on the shipping, tracking, receiving and dispositioning of devices including maintaining equipment inventory list
- Maintain local inventory of POS devices to be distributed to the facilities as needed
- Assist with automation projects for user provisioning, and other projects related to internal controls and/or PCI-DSS requirements
- Assist in maintaining a current Master List of Merchant Accounts with all processors, and respond to internal data requests Assist the Treasury Operations Team with internal clients and multiple vendors to install, upgrade or enhance functions and features
- Assist in development of Merchant Card Program standardized operating procedures, and internal controls
- Assist in training personnel at the facilities on merchant card requirements and operational processes
- Assist in the preparation of slides for Internal Business Review meetings and PCI Liaison meetings, and other meetings as needed
- Coordinate and schedule calls and meetings regarding Merchant Card Operations as needed
- Support other Treasury Operations Team members with merchant card and other Treasury Operations’ projects as assigned
Qualifications
BA/BS in Finance or equivalent is required, and a minimum of 2 years merchant card knowledge
and experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge / Experience / Skills:
Proficient with PC environment including Microsoft Word, Excel and other applications
- Experience with Merchant Card processors preferred, but not required
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities, verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy, project and time management skills
