Since 1947, Patten (Mustang Survival's sister company, under the Wing Group) has been instrumental in manufacturing inflatable life rafts. Predominantly focused on military manufacturing and government contracts, Patten produces cutting edge inflatable lifesaving equipment. These products include the vast majority of inflatable rafts that have been utilized by NASA since the first Apollo mission, containment in the recent Deepwater Horizon disaster, and inflatable emergency shelters. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


Under basic supervision, the Production Supervisor, plans, coordinates, and supervises a variety of technical and operational production activities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes, supervisors’ activities associated with production to ensure production quota and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of employees between various departments.
  • Assigns, oversees, and monitors tasks being completed by staff members and realign tasks as needed.
  • Coordinates plan reviews with other staff members to ensure project coordination and deadlines times
    are established and maintained.
  • Researches, complies, and presents technical advice to various staff members.
  • Establishes measures to improve methods, use of equipment and the quality of work to increase efficiency of the program.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends, practices, developments, and regulatory changes.
  • May assists in training staff in proper methods and procedures.
  • Supports the relationship between the Patten Companies and the public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with vendors, visitors, and staff; promotes the Company goals and priorities, and complies with all policies and procedures.
  • Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and Company information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE)


Knowledge of:

  • company policies and procedures.
  • principles and disciplines related to supervision, staff training and performance evaluation.
  • federal and state safety rules and regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • application of solvents, chemicals and materials utilized in the construction of items; and
  • techniques for use and storage of chemicals, including OSHA Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly SDSs or Material Safety Data Sheets) for hazardous chemicals used in the workplace.

Skill in:

  • operating and maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and effective manner.
  • identifying and evaluating unsafe conditions and mechanical issues.
  • reading designs, estimates and specifications.
  • using initiative and independent judgement within established procedural guidelines.
  • planning and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.

  • complete OSHA/Safety training as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
  • Requires understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMOs)
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity.
