Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR) who will provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our clinics and who will strive to provide outstanding customer service to our patients. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional or for someone just starting a career in the healthcare field to join our friendly team in our busy clinic.

Your primary responsibilities will be providing support to our medical team by scheduling appointments, welcoming patients to our clinic, verifying insurance, managing patient messages and calls, and addressing other communication needs.

Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am– 5:00pm; varied schedules. This position would primarily be in the Renton office, but you may be asked to travel to one of the offices within the area for coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of medical office experience OR equivalent education/experience
• Exceptional customer/patient service/interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation, empathy, and ability to multitask
• Clear and effective communication in a positive manner; attention to detail, spelling and grammar
• Knowledge of computer and phone systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in healthcare setting or medical office
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)
