This is a full time position and will work:
Monday-Thursday 8:00a-4:30p
Friday 8:00a-2:00p

Summary

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
  • Performs opening and closing clinic duties
  • Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
  • Scans documents into electronic health recordMaintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
  • Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
  • Schedules follow up appointments as needed
  • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
  • Orders clinic office supplies
  • Sells and tracks cosmetic products
  • Distributes mail
  • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments

Qualifications:
Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1-2 years of recent medical office experience in a similar capacity is preferred. Previous customer service/relations training is preferred. Must be able to understand and spell Dermatologic medical terms and prescriptions. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office. Must possess organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors. Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
