The Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Pathologist to join our team at Ben Taub Hospital, our teaching hospital located in the heart of the world's largest medical center (The Texas Medical Center in Houston).


The ideal candidate must have strong diagnostic skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, will be expected to contribute to the educational, scholarly, and translational research activities of the department, and should be eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor or higher rank.


The surgical pathology service at Ben Taub Hospital handles 10,000 surgical pathology specimens, intraoperative consultation, and autopsy cases as well as 22,000 cytology cases.

Interested individuals must possess appropriate board certification through the American Board of Pathology, have subspecialty expertise in one or more areas of surgical pathology and/or cytopathology (board-certified or eligible), and must be eligible for an active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
