POSITION SUMMARY:
Primarily in the area of Master Control, ensure NESN programming and commercial content are presented with the highest technical standards possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ingest commercials into network's servers and prep for air
- Operate network's automated playback system and manipulate on-air playlists
- Record incoming satellite and fiber feeds, including incoming programming and live events
- Archive records
- Edit and prepare all live events for rebroadcasts
- Consistently improve technical skills and work towards becoming one of NESN's Master Control experts
- Participate in developing and maintaining high technical standards and processes
- Work weekends, nights, holidays and overnight shifts as needed
- Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years television experience or one year Master Control experience a plus but willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to excel in a highly technical environment and learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent organizational skills and must be extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, loosely structured environment
- Must have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and possess a positive "can-do" attitude
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment
- Must be able to work weekends, nights (including overnight shifts) and holidays as needed
