Jefferson County Parks and Recreation is seeking a seasonal Parks Maintenance I team member to work full time (40 hours/week), from approximately March 1, to November 1st.
This is a great opportunity to join our outstanding team of hard working, skilled professionals. You will work outside, serve the public, and see the benefits of your work within our 22 beautiful parks throughout East Jefferson County.
Duties include park maintenance and upgrade projects including athletic field preparation for sports activities, repairs, landscaping, and general custodial work. Must have the ability to operate small tractors, power equipment, and various hand tools.
The job requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with park users. Applicants must possess a high school diploma/GED and a valid WA State Driver License, and have the ability to obtain a basic First Aid card and CPR certification.
Starting Salary is $19.96/hour. Regular pay increases and opportunities for training and advancement can occur. As a seasonal position, this job does not qualify for union benefits such as health insurance and retirement.
