Fromm Family Foods, LLC. Columbus Facility is hiring for Packaging Operators on first and second shift. We produce super premium dry dog and cat food and are looking for full time permanent employees to join our team! This is an entry level position, with great opportunities for advancement for employees who show the desire to learn more and take on more responsibility resulting in greater pay opportunities.

Essential tasks:
1. Hang empty bags, fill, close, and guide bag in to heat sealer or sewing head.
2. Manually fold/unfold cases, accurately insert proper number of bags, and guide into case taper.
3. Manually stack cases and/or bags on pallets in proper count and configuration as required by the customer.
4. Perform last quality check of the product going into the package; the accuracy, legibility and placement of the lot code, and appearance of the finished package – and report deviations to packaging lead.
5. Fill out paperwork as needed according to company policy (i.e.part numbers, dates, etc.)
6. Maintain assigned work area, keeping it clean and free from clutter.
7. Abide by all safety rules and company policies.
The physical requirements of this role requires lifting of 30# up to 64” or 20# up to 72”. Infrequently lift 40# up to 64”. Job requires to be able to Bend, Push/Pull, Squat, Reach, Grip, Grab and Hold various products, packaging items and tools. Some tasks will be repetitive.
The ability to stand for duration of shift, climb ladders and stairs, and work at elevated level.
Our production environment varies in temperature including extreme heat, humidity and cold. Environment contains some production dust and potential allergens. Pet food product produces various production smells.
Basic visual requirements of read small print and differentiate colors.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
