GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Overnight Coordinator of Community Residences has the responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of the AHRC Community Residence Functional Program. These systems may include, but are not limited to, Medical, Fire Safety, Staff Scheduling, and program hours. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Residential Services, an employee in this class manages and has supervisory responsibilities in the area of: public education, lead weekend direct support professional staff scheduling, compliance with the rules of the operation of AHRC community residences/IRA/ICF.

• Manage 16 or more residential setting on the Overnight shifts
• oversee daily operations of residential homes
• Monitor implementation of program policies and practices.
• Supervise the functions and activities of the Overnight Direct Support staff.
• Prepare emergency schedules on the overnight in the event of an emergency to ensure adequate facility coverage
• Function independently in times of facility coverage including responsibility for appropriate action in crisis situations per agency procedure.
• Training new and pre-existing residential staff

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree in Special Education, Social Work or a related field.

Must have at least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals with IDD, including the oversight of residential group home settings.

Candidate must meet the OPWDD requirements for QIDP listed above.

Must be able to adjust hours to a flexible 40-hour work week schedule.
