Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is currently seeking an Order Support Specialist to join our team. This position will be a hybrid office/remote role as long as you live within 50 miles of our Woodridge, IL, Richmond, VA or Raleigh, NC facilities.

Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. As an Order Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing internal order management support. This position will support order management activities that include order entry, backlog management, and leverage all available resources to meet customer expectations while creating a positive customer experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide general order support to include; order entry, promised date compliance, backlog management, coordination of material shipments, on time delivery, order expediting, and status/tracking of orders.
  • Proactively communicate in a timely manner with customers about order verification, order status, pricing and shipment status. Coordinates in a timely manner with operations to verify lead times, schedule customer orders according to their delivery needs and communicate special handling requests.
  • Challenge cross functional processes for continued business improvement.
  • Respond to order inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Manage order backlog alongside Order Management to ensure forecast accuracy for the business unit.
  • Assist with the facilitation of the Return Material Authorization, credit, and re-bill processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year previous Customer Service experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL, Richmond, VA or Raleigh, NC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with computers
  • SAP experience
