Job description
Set up for deliveries for new mother and baby. Encounter patients in delicate situations. Prep instruments and equipment for deliveries and other obstetrics procedures. May assemble surgical trays and sterile tables, as well as assist with gowning and gloving. Maintains the inventory and cleanliness in the obstetrics department. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, maintaining records, and running insurance information. Educational requirements may vary depending on the facility. An associate's degree with coursework in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and insurance processing are typically required. Must have organizational and basic math skills.
