This position is for an Optical Test Engineer within the Bothell Production Operations organization. The individual will be responsible for overseeing operations execution of lab testing of laser assemblies and/or subassemblies in a prototype-to-production manufacturing environment. The individual may also be responsible for execution of a range of investment initiatives aimed at expanding production capacity, reducing manufacturing costs, and enabling build and test of next-generation systems.
Candidates must be comfortable within a rapid development environment and with the transition to production; able to execute within short timelines and a given budget. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment.
The Locale: Bothell is a city located in the state of Washington in the Pacific Northwest. It is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Bothell is home to Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington, Bothell.

- Hands-on experience with optical components, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience with data collection and numerical analysis
- Hands-on experience with optical alignment of bulk optics and associated test and measurement methods.
- In-depth understanding of test of CW lasers and/or fiber lasers.
- Development of automated test and control systems. Experience with coding or software development in C, C++, C#, or LabWindows CVI.
- Experience with design-for-manufacturability or design-for-test
- A degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or working experience in a related Engineering or Applied Sciences Field
